Have you ever set an intention, felt really good about it… and then nothing happened? Or worse—everything seemed to fall apart?
You're not alone.
Intentions are powerful tools for manifestation—but only when you're aligned in mind, body, and spirit. In this post, I’ll walk you through a step-by-step spiritual intention-setting ritual that helps you cleanse your energy, align with divine guidance, and co-create with the universe and your angels.

Why Intention Setting Is More Than Just Thinking Positive
Intentions are more than hopes or affirmations—they're energetic blueprints for your future. But if your subconscious mind is filled with doubt, resistance, or fear, those hidden beliefs can override even the strongest spiritual desire.
This is why I teach an intention-setting ritual that focuses on energetic alignment, spiritual support, and embodied commitment. Whether you're an Earth Angel, Starseed, Empath, or simply someone looking for change, this ritual is designed to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Step-by-Step Guide to Preparing Your Energy
Step 1: Cleanse Your Energy
Take a salt bath or shower to release negativity. Visualize old energy and limiting beliefs washing away as you cleanse your body.
Step 2: Clear Your Space
Use sage or other smudging tools to clear your energy field and surroundings. Wave the smoke around your body and home while imagining heavy or stagnant energy dissolving into the earth for transmutation.
Step 3: Invite Positive Energy
Use sweetgrass, lavender, or frankincense to welcome high-vibrational energy into your space. Feel this light energy rising from the earth and filling your body—this raises your frequency and prepares you for manifesting.
How to Work with Archangels for Energy Clearing
Working with angels is a deeply healing way to cut cords, release fear, and rebuild trust with the universe. This part of the ritual involves calling in specific Archangels for spiritual guidance and healing.
Archangel Michael – Cut Cords and Attachments
Call on Michael to cut cords with the past—old relationships, limiting beliefs, outdated stories. Visualize him severing these ties and clearing space for new energy.
Archangel Raphael – Heal Your Past
Ask Raphael to send his healing light into every layer of your being—including your past experiences and relationships. Let his emerald-green light restore trust and wholeness.
Archangel Metatron – Rebuild Trust in the Universe
If you've ever felt abandoned or unsupported by life, this step is essential. Invite Metatron to shift your perspective. Visualize his sacred cube spinning around you, realigning your energy and helping you see how everything—yes, everything—has served your growth.
Archangel Jophiel – Recognize Your Strength and Beauty
Let Jophiel help you see how far you’ve come. This is not about ego—it’s about spiritual truth. Reflect on your resilience, courage, and accomplishments. Acknowledge the transformation that’s already occurred within you.

Activating Your Intentions: Visualization, Embodiment, and Release
This part of the ritual is where your intentions shift from thoughts into energetic form. You’ve cleared space, aligned with spiritual guidance, and opened your heart. Now, it’s time to create your intentions with full awareness and then activate them through emotion, visualization, and release.
Step 1: Create Your Intentions
Begin by writing out your intentions. These are not vague wishes or surface-level goals—they are meaningful, aligned, and emotionally resonant desires that reflect your inner truth and purpose.
Ask yourself:
What do I truly want to experience, create, or become?
Why is this important to me?
What would it change or unlock in my life?
Write each intention clearly, using language that feels empowering and authentic. Be specific, but don’t worry about getting it perfect. This is a co-creative process. Download the free PDF worksheet I created to help you with this.
Step 2: Prioritize Your Intentions
Once you’ve written them out, review your list and notice which intentions feel the most urgent, meaningful, or powerful right now. This isn’t about picking favorites—it’s about identifying where your energy is most available and aligned.
Cut your written intentions into strips of paper, one per intention. Then place them in order of importance. Think of them like seeds in a garden. Which seed are you ready to nurture first? Which one feels most alive in your spirit?
This step helps you focus your energy and allows the ritual to hold more impact.
Step 3: Visualize With Depth
Visualization is a crucial part of manifestation because it allows your body and subconscious mind to feel what your conscious mind desires. This makes your energy more magnetic and your actions more aligned.
You’ll go through two visualizations, and each one serves a different purpose.
First Visualization – Embodied Experience
Close your eyes and bring to mind your most important intention.
Now fully imagine it has already manifested.
What does your life look like?
Where are you? Who is with you?
What do you hear? What do you feel in your body?
How does it feel emotionally—joy, peace, excitement, gratitude?
Engage all five senses as much as you can. The more immersive the experience, the more powerfully your subconscious and energy field can anchor it.
Let your body memorize the feeling of success, fulfillment, and embodiment.
Second Visualization – Timeline Perspective
Once you’re fully immersed in the experience, take a deep breath and imagine rising above that scene. See your future self living the intention.
Now float backward in time, along the timeline of your life, and observe the path you took to get there:
What actions did you take?
What insights or ideas showed up?
What challenges did you overcome?
What signs or synchronicities guided you?
This powerful NLP technique helps train your subconscious to believe the intention is not only possible—it’s inevitable. You’re showing your system the path and giving it permission to follow through.
Note: For more details on this process, watch the video version of this post.
Step 4: Release Through Fire (Optional)
When you’re ready, take the strip of paper with your top intention and release it through fire (if it’s safe to do so).
As the paper burns, imagine your intention being transformed into energy—moving beyond the physical world and into the energetic and spiritual realms.
Say aloud or silently:
“This or something better.”
This one sentence opens the door to divine upgrades. You are affirming your intention, while also allowing Spirit, your angels, and the universe to bring you something even more aligned, expansive, or timely than what you can currently imagine.
If fire isn’t available or doesn’t feel safe, you can:
Tear the paper and bury it in soil
Soak it in water and let it dissolve
Hold it in your hands and visualize it turning to light
What matters most is the energy and emotion behind your release—not the method itself.
Follow-up: Engaged Detachment
This is one of the most important—and often misunderstood—steps.
Engaged detachment is not giving up. It's not apathy. It’s the act of holding your vision with love and clarity… while releasing the need to control how and when it manifests.
Here’s what it looks like:
You stay connected to your intention—emotionally, spiritually, and energetically.
You take inspired action as it arises.
You surrender the outcome, allowing Spirit to bring what's best for your growth.
This is co-creation. You are doing your part—but you’re also allowing the universe and your angels to do theirs. You remain open to the possibility that something even better than what you asked for is on its way.
When you practice engaged detachment:
You reduce resistance and fear.
You stop chasing and start receiving.
You become magnetic to aligned opportunities, synchronicities, and resources.
This is the sweet spot of manifestation.

After the Ritual: Integration and Self-Care
Once you've completed the ritual, your nervous system and energy field may feel sensitive. This is normal.
Drink water to ground yourself
Rest, journal, or go for a walk
Avoid rushing into action—allow space for your new energy to settle
You’ve:
Cleansed your space and body
Aligned with divine guidance
Written and activated powerful intentions
Released attachment and surrendered to the flow
Now trust. Let go of needing it to happen a certain way. Watch for signs. Listen to your intuition. And when the time is right, take inspired action.
Becoming a Clear Channel for Co-Creation
This intention-setting ritual is a sacred practice that goes far beyond goal setting. It’s about energetic alignment, spiritual surrender, and empowered co-creation.
You are not just manifesting things—you’re manifesting growth, purpose, peace, and the next chapter of your soul’s journey.
If you try this ritual, I’d love to hear how it goes for you. Leave a comment, reach out, or share your experience with others who might benefit.
Sending lots of love & blessings,
